Testing to Support Deeper Learning
According to Linda Darling-Hammond, the current testing debate is missing this question: What kinds of assessments should be used, when, how, and for what purposes if we want high-quality learning to occur. She recommends a system of assessments that start with grade level standards but also measures critical thinking, problem solving, collaborating, and creating.
